This was Roy Buchanan's famous Telecaster guitar track, recorded at The Marquee Studios via the tielines from The Marquee Club during a special recording for the BBC television series "The Old Grey Whistle Test" . Transmitted in mono but this recording was saved in stereo. From research on the web it looks like the recording date could have been May 8th 1973.
